One engineering challenge. Multiple drilling environments.

Built for drilling environments where vibration has a real cost.

The Evolution Drill Bit is being developed for oil and gas, mining drill-and-blast, and exploration applications where interaction between the cutting structure and formation produces HFTO, cutter-impact damage and harmful vibration. The integrated design is intended to reduce impact damage, extend bit life and support improved rates of penetration.

01 — OIL AND GAS DRILLING

Dynamic loads are a system-level challenge.

Downhole vibration can affect far more than the cutting structure. Dynamic loads can transfer from the bit through the drill string and wider system, placing damaging stress on downhole components and surface equipment, including the top drive.

The Evolution Drill Bit is intended to support operators and service companies seeking to manage HFTO, torsional shock and cutter-impact damage while protecting equipment durability and maintaining productive drilling performance across demanding well profiles.

  • Manage torsional shock
  • Protect equipment durability
  • Maintain productive drilling performance

02 — MINING AND DRILL AND BLAST

Repeated impact, multiplied across a fleet.

High-duty blast-hole drilling in hard rock, transitional or interbedded formations, and broken or fractured ground can place repeated loads through the bit, drill string and machine. Where cutter impact and vibration accelerate wear, improvements in bit life, component condition and drilling consistency may have significant operational value across a fleet.

Evolution Drill Bits supplies blast-hole drill bits for mining and is developing an integrated source-control approach to destructive vibration at the cutting face, designed to reduce cutter-impact damage, extend bit life and support improved rates of penetration.

  • Improved cutter engagement
  • Better bit condition
  • More predictable performance

03 — EXPLORATION DRILLING

Drill-bit solutions for exploration.

Evolution Drill Bits supplies drill-bit solutions for the exploration drilling industry. The integrated Evolution Drill Bit is also being developed for exploration applications where HFTO, cutter-impact damage, vibration and premature bit wear affect drilling performance.

04 — MEASURE WHAT MATTERS

Performance evidence that can withstand scrutiny.

The Evolution Drill Bit is being assessed against three primary performance outcomes: reduced cutter-impact damage, extended bit life and improved rate of penetration. Verified results can be published as field trials are completed and performance data is approved for public release.

05 — ASSESS A FIELD TRIAL FOR YOUR APPLICATION

Every drilling system behaves differently.

Evolution Drill Bits can review the application, drilling configuration and available performance data to determine whether the technology is suitable for a structured field trial or further technical assessment.
